It depends on the vintage of the Atlas engines and what TMCC package they have.

They could have any of the following.

Original Lionel TMCC, 32 speed steps
TAS SAW TMCC, 32 speed steps
TAS EOB TMCC 128 speed steps
ERR Cruise Commander TMCC 100 speed steps

You need to identify what electronics they have.
