Someone had made a "power supply" that held C or D batteries too nod

Pre-war rheostats could be used with big 6v dry cells, or car battery, etc.

(I used one in the back of a pickup truck at a car cruise once, no throttle but the 12v was perfect for PW and lasted many hours. (13.5v actually))
