The engine that originally came with that set should be cab number 5433, a J3a Hudson vs your J1e. Night and day between the detail and drive system. 5433 has a Pittman can motor and Odyssey speed control.

You would better off if you bought the set and sold one of your Hudsons. Like David says finding all 6 cars without the engine will not be easy.
