@Dave Ripp.- Neat boxcar Dave, the Central of Georgia or what was the RR in the past, now Norfolk Southern, runs very near to our summer family compound near Savannah Georgia. Those older "football" box cars were very distinctive.

OK , so now for my post today. In sorting out some of my collection, I "found" this boxcar that had been put away years ago so I thought I would resurrect it for today. It's not really rare, an MPC car from the late seventies, 1979 , however the RF&P was sort of special to me because it used to run (and even had a yard) near where I worked in Washington D.C. The yard was withing walking distance and it had some overpass roads which made watching the action (a lunchtime activity) pretty easy.
So here is the Lionel (MPC) # 9412 Richmond, Fredericksburg, & Potomac boxcar from 1979.
