Yeah, so you all have me wondering... Maybe I should just borrow a friend's Lionel KW.

That resettable fuse looks good; thanks for the recommendation. But I wonder if, once I install it, the engine will not have sufficient current to run well. We will see.

I turned off the smoker, and moved the street lamp accessories to a wall wart, so hopefully we will be taxing the little power pack less.
