Picked this Lionel Prewar 801 Wabash caboose at last Sunday’s Wayne NJ train show for $5.00.
I Cleaned the caboose, and as you can see it came out very nice for being over 100 years old.
I was surprised on how the wheels/axles turned out after cleaning the rust off clapping
From by research, it was MFG in 1917 and is not a candidate for repaint as it was loved by someone

I also purchased CP-7 couplers and a Con-50 manual reversing switch, all prewar reproduction parts.
