In contemplating a new layout, I spent last month acquiring Ameri-Towne kits and fronts for a small town and industries. I got some from forum members and a few others from eBay. The prices for these things are all over the place. The most recent purchase, and last for now, was for the lot pictured - 2 window walls, Homestead Furniture Factory, and Barrettsburg Tool & Die. Total cost including shipping was under $70.
Now I just need to begin putting these and other kits together. Latest model railroading report card from my wife says I'm pretty good at thinking about a layout in my head (B+), better at impulsive buying (A), but not quite as good at putting thoughts and products into action (D). Still, she thinks I have potential.
