DCS WIFI Module Killed My TIU?????

OK, this is bizarre. I purchased a DCS WIFI module this weekend. I had to upgrade my TUI to 5.0 from 4.0. I upgraded the handheld remote as well. Everything worked well. There wasn't a single issue. The trains ran fine after the upgrade. I wanted to test them out before I tried the WIFI module to make sure the TIU upgrade was successful. However; when I plugged in the WIFI adapter and tried to start everything back up the TIU was dead. The red light didn't come on and it was very hot. Has anyone seen this type of problem? I feel like the TIU is dead. I'm not sure why that would occur when all that I did was plug in the WIFI unit.
