Thank you @gunrunnerjohn, for the links, I was able to find the voltmeters and ammeters you suggested, and once I remembered the "isolated 5V power" part of the thread I have both working fine.

Calibrating the voltmeter is pretty simple. Is there an easy way to calibrate the ammeter? There's a potentiometer on the back of both, but I'm not sure of a consistent way to put a specific load on the circuit to calibrate the device. I'm guessing it's some combination of resistors of a known size, but I'd love to be pointed in the right direction.
