Its the noisy sound that makes them classic. If you want a sterile scale piece...then thats not a true Lionel. But thats my Lionel classic half speaking. Of course I will settle for PW tooling with a nice CAN motor as well...since it was MPC who pioneered mounting a CAN over the frame where an AC motor sat.
