I agree about the converter being to small at 1 amp. I just did my first conversion. Some good threads on OGR, just search Blunami as well as a few good You Tubes by Norm C and Sid’s Trains and others . Everyone seems to piece the components together rather than use a board. I used a 6 amp bridge, a cap and a board to lower the DC voltage.
