Reply to "Lionel caboose lighting too bright."

I just purchased a new in the box Lionel AF GN Caboose that was cataloged in 2017. Put it on the track and the light at 15V track power was blindingly bright. I removed the body from the frame to access the bulb and discovered Lionel put in a (screw base) 12V bulb at the factory. What were they thinking? I replaced it with a 24V bulb and now the caboose lighting has a nice warm glow.
