Reply to "Starter Set Marklin Trains?"

Yes, back from the brink of bankruptcy and still making trains in Europe at their own factories.

I know where to buy LGB (owned by Marklin), but I know less about buying HO scale in the US.  I know there are a number of dealers at the West Springfield train show every year and also a club called the ETE (European Train Enthusiast).  Also, keep in mind there is the traditional Marklin AC stud rail HO, and then the Trix DC HO which is compatible with US HO scale track and power.  Although I believe some Marklin engines may be able to do both AC and DC, sort of like MTH PS3 O gauge.

I would search the internet and find some dealers.  It's more likely you will find sellers online or at train shows rather than in storefronts.  After all, this is a highly specialized product for the US market.

Here is an episode of Marklin TV (yes, they make their own club videos) showing HO scale production at one of their factories and also testing command control.
