Reaching back, already over twenty years, October 6 1993.

A Gateway Western train is detouring over the NS Mexico, MO-St. Louis line due to dues to the massive flooding in 1993. (knocked out part of the approach to their Missouri River Bridge at Glascow, MO)

Here ATSF 5380 leads the eastbound train on the approach to the NS, (former Wabash) bridge over the Missouri River at St. Charles, MO October 6, 1993. The consist includes the lone unit painted for the Gateway Eastern as well as a pair if GWWR geeps.
