If he’s chuffing & puffing, that means the flywheel is turning on the motor, but it’s not turning the gear box, ……could be a lot of lost motion between worm shaft, and the worm wheel, could be a slipping worm wheel on the axle, ……do both new engines exhibit the same behavior?……you mention you have two new ones?….
