Reply to "MTH RealTrax ITAD 40-1028 for Detection & RFID for IDENTIFICATION"

Stan;

Thanks for your reply.

I'm going to do some more investigating regarding the sensitivity to ambient light.

However, you didn't respond to my remarks about the 'delay' function and just exactly what is being delayed.

I check things out very carefully and get back to you.

And Yes, I may give you one of these ITADs -- I found a MUCH better product called the "MRD1-V" from AZATRAX.COM.

What I'm actually pursuing is the use of these 'train detectors' to feed micro controllers like the Arduino nano in order to control things. My first project is to sense when a train is approaching a crossing from either East or West and then close the gates and send a command to the engine to blow the horn with the crossing signal. I have a program running in an Arduino Uno that uses a radio to send commands to the engine through the TIU just like the MTH Handheld controller does.

I'll let you know how my investigation of the MTH RealTrax ITAD (40-1028) goes.

The MTH ScaleTrax ITAD (45-1028) is a much nicer product.
