The Lionel version IS pretty close to the 'REAL-DEAL,' but in addition to what Southwest Hiawatha, points out, also, I notice that Lionel detailed in 'POLING-POCKETS,' unlike the prototype and Lionel's car has a full width body, right down to the side sills.
