It is old news, but what hasn't generally been talked about is the State Of Virginia put up about $2 million to assist Norfolk Southern in the cost of the relocation. Of course the Governor spun this as new jobs coming to the Norfolk area and his administration took credit for it. In reality was all that was being done was relocating 175 jobs from one part of the state to another with a large government subsidy.
