O-Gauge Outdoors-How well would Fastrack and Realtrax hold up to the elements?

My wife, in a desperate attempt to get me to do some yard work has agreed to a possible outdoor O-Gauge set-up. Has anyone tried this with the MTH RealTrax or Lionel Fastrack? How well do they hold up in the elements?
