Well, as best as I remember he spoke of accidents in the chlorine dept. They also made carbon tetrachloride I think? Not sure of what else was produced there.
Update: I spoke with my brother who told me they just made spec chemicals at that site. They used chlorine in one of their processes. My uncle worked at a competitor. My dad would make cracks about a product being "pure caustic". I worked there later on.
