I took yesterday off from experimenting. One thing I discovered in a conversation with a friend is that my TIU is one of the first; no letter on the back even though it has been upgraded. Maybe it is too old to accept the latest upgrade. So on to the weekend where I try again.

The original Rev. G (FCC label only), upgrades fine to any version if it's otherwise in working condition. However, I do have a box of dead Rev. G TIU's, I keep them in case someone needs a case. (Yes, people apparently drop these on hard floors!)
