@Rich Wiemann- In regard to your question, there is no evidence, at least on this piece, that there was any lithography on the reverse side before the station was manufactured. In making this station however the walls of the little house were clearly lithographed on both sides as the design on the inside is different from that on the outside and the wall is but 1 sheet thick. What I found interesting was the assertion in the reference I used (Internet) that the basic material for the toy making was just scrap sheet steel obtained from other manufacturers.
