Would it be possible for you to take a straight edge (perhaps a 4' level) and bridge it across your worst belly and take a photo showing the gap? Then do the same on the underneath in the same area and post the photos. I can't understand how the homasote has deformed that much yet the plywood and supporting members have stayed level.
