My focus is still bricks/mortar/concrete and asphalt………the open spaces you see will have more structures. You will eventually see some green…………I grew up in the Northeast Bronx, Pelham Bay to be precise. Pelham Bay Park was my back yard and I roamed all over it. There are some features of it that I will figure out how to incorporate: the beach, Glover’s Rock, Split Rock, the New Haven line into HellGate and the abandoned New Haven passenger station off Shore Rd. The New Haven used to run passenger service on this line till the 1930s and stopped, (MetroNorth is seeking to revive this service).
I have spent the last week ballasting…….I think I have done about 50+ linear feet the last week. It is very time-consuming!
