@Darrell it's not abnormal for it to pull more current on the grade. Since it's not a steady draw, I don't think that's anything to be concerned about. FWIW, the Weaver and Williams stuff back then tend to be somewhat of a current hog. Are you sure that has a Pittman motor and not just one of the Mabuchi 5xx series or their clones?
