still, all this anguish about a road number? I bet mR. MUffin, had he known how important this was to you, would have advised a return, or fixed you up with someone with the minimal talent required to change the number?
it is time to go back to HO - there you can get almost anything you want without modifying wheelsets, couplers, etc. Who knows - they may even have shelf couplers in HO.
