I’ll be honest, I’m no modeler- between the 2 year old and work, this is all quite literally plug and play 😁 I sourced the trees from various Etsy/amazon stores. I can only take credit for gluing the bases on and spending way too much time articulating limbs- they all come rolled straight up 😅
My grandpa was a big Lionel guy- more of a collector, did not run them much and was always weary of the small grandkids around “the good stuff”! But if I caught him alone without any other cousins around, in the right mood, he’d pull something fancy out he had just picked up- and those are some of the best memories of my childhood! I can only hope to keep that magic going!
