Woodland Scenics Plaster Cloth Question

Just finished working with Woodland Scenics Plaster Cloth for the first time. Works great and relatively easy to use.

Question: What have others done when painting -- do you use some sort of primer or first coat or just go straight to the color(s) that will be used for the landscaping?
