Reply to "WTIU track hookup question"

Advice:

You can split a power source and power more than one TIU input from one power source. NEVER connect a TIU output in parallel with another output.

So, in your question- the WTIU has 4 channels. You can connect any number of inputs to a single power source. Each channel output should go to it's track but tracks should be isolated center rail joint between each other.

Again, ,say you have a pair of switches that makes a crossover between loops. A that joint between switches 1 joint center rail is insulated pin or equiv.

I repeat- when doing sharing- you can share channels at the INPUT of the WTIU- but outputs must be to individual track sections or loops and not shared between any 2 outputs.

Further, common (black posts) are able to be true common (connected together) either by wiring or your track plan and all outer rail of all tracks common.

Red post and center rail is where your isolation joints will be.

A little confused.  Here is a diagram showing only the hot center rail connections I am suggesting.  Is this a problem?

Thanks Barry,

John

Board's interface is a 4-pin connector:  Hot 1- Hot -2 Hot 3- Common.

Hot 1 (loop 1), Hot 2 (loop2),  Hot 3 (Auxiliary power), Common (everywhere)
