Mine arrived today too. Great Job Walter.👍 These cars are the deal.
I took some pics to compare sizes. RMT on the right. The 715 is a scale Intermountain 8000 gallon tank car. RMTs are close enough.
Looking forward to future offerings. Consider some 18” passenger cars while you are at it.

Pete

Pete,

I too did a comparison shot when I took my first photos of my UTLX car, but did not post it. I THINK mine too was an Intermountain car that was acquired by Atlas. As you can see, the RMT car compares very favorably to the scale car for a fraction of the price. Really hope they are released in additional road names. My personal favorites are the plain black ones with minimal lettering or just the name of the company that owns the car.

Now that our open house is done I have a little more time to discuss the tank car   I was worried that these cars were going to have the same trucks as the Menards cars out there   They DONT thank God.  These are a completely new design and seem good   The litmus test was on the wheel gauge   We have guard rail on all of our elevated sections   The Menards trucks wheel gauge is too tight and hit or ride up on the guard rail  I ran the RMT car across the guard rail and there wasnt any problem   It tracked correct and the wheel gauge is correct   The detailing on the car is great   The lettering is crisp and Walter always has a story of why he chose certain things   We talked about the Waddell car  It was a coal company and really didnt have tank cars but Walter explained how all of the products mentioned on the car  Kerosene etc etc are by products of what else  Coal   I love the tank and order 6 when I got home last night from Pats  I want to see how they handle long trains and hope they do better than the Lionel pop o matic couplers

Walter also had a preproduction sample of the woodchip car he is making   It looks great  Cant wait to hear the stories about the roadnames he selects

Would love to see the wood chip car sample. All roads are listed in the ad. MEC scheme (shown in the ad) will be available on run two. Finally something new to get in True O at a really fair price!

I don't deal with Williams / Menards toy stuff after having to re-work that Masonite auto carrier. Really...

I tried the Menards ore cars when I was building a long ore train  I was very disappointed with them and sold them the same week they came   Cant wait for the RMT ore cars now

The wood chip car had a die cast frame and plastic body  I should have taken a picture

Pete and PRR... Thanks to your pictures I ordered two of the UTLX cars!

I saw these advertised last year and they looked pretty good in the ad. Even though I always thought of RMT trains as more of a toy train, they I figured for $29.95, I would order one and see for myself. Mine showed up two days ago and I was stunned. These are scale size with good detailing and excellent graphics. I liked it so much, I called the dealer I ordered them from within an hour and ordered three more! So here is a photo of the one I already received, both with and with out the platform which apparently is meant to be removable (I will probably leave mine off). I'll post photos of all four of them when the other three (2 more UTLX and a Texaco) arrive in the next day or two either here or on Weekend Photo Fun.
