110-Trestle Clamps | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Hi,

When did Lionel switch over to the cheaper and simplerclamps for their trestles? I am working on a 1960's layout and I want to make sure I am using the right pieces.

Hi,

Wanted to clear up my time frame for the question. I am working on a layout around 1963, so I am not sure when the transition occured. Looks like the "U" clamps would be easier to use.

The U shaped clamps are for 0-31 track, as they have a lip on the ties. The long, narrow clamps are for 0-27

The u-shaped clips were used with 110 trestle set from 1958 forward
