does any body know of any lionel train sets made in the 1990s
that i can look for and find pictures of because i typed in 1990s lionel train sets in google images and got a ton of trains i was not looking for

I think you'll need to narrow down your search ALOT. If you think about it, every year Lionel had 8 to 12 starter type sets, from low end (DC transformer) to high with tracks and transformer. The Thomas line started in the 90's if I'm not mistaken. Oh, there was also O, O27, and G sets during the 90's. Then there were higher end collector type sets with a locomotive and freight cars. Every year had at least one high end passenger set with an assortment of cars and add on cars. Do you want a set with TMCC and assorted sound options, or any assortment of set with conventional control and the buzz of an e-unit?
If you want 1990's trains go to the Lionel archives and look at the catalogs for that period.
The early 1990's was during part of the period that Richard Kuhn was the primary owner of Lionel. Some excellent trains were made in that era including the first USA Made reproductions of the Lionel Scale Hudson and scale steam switcher. The 1990's was also a period of transition where Lionel closed the doors to its Michigan factory and exported the manufacturing and all the jobs to China.

The list I posted is the cataloged/advertosed sets only. In the same time frame there was roughly 50 uncataloged sets.

Just a little side project I've put together from my collection of modern era catalogs and advertising flyers. Back when TM Books & Video was still publishing their modern era price guides, for a few years I assisted with the guides.
