It looks like they’ve shipped. Has anyone seen them in the wild yet? I’ve been waiting for years for a Legacy version of #779 and I’m hoping they don’t have Ghost Dreyfuss noses like the 2017 release.

Thanks, Joe. It’s hard to tell - is #757 all black or does it have graphite smoke and fire boxes? Also, from the angle, the cab number seemed small and not the standard NKP font. Is that the case and was that unique to #757? Thanks again for the link and video!
The 757 does seem small on mine not sure if that carries over to the other versions. The smokebox is definitely black though.

Thank you, Naresar. Hopefully, someone will post pics of the catalog versions. I have #779 on order and am hoping it resembles #765 from back in 2014 (which was awesome).

The REAL 757 at the Mad River Museum has smaller numbers on the cab. The Mr.Muffin custom run is correct.
My son Devon had taken me to that museum for Father’s Day last year. I’m a big time train enthusiast. I guess he thought I might like it going to the train museum. I did not like it, but I in fact, absolutely loved it! The best part of it was that my son was with me. We went through the first parts of the museum and got a few photos but either way I had a great time there getting towards the end of the tour we went over to the steam engine 757 Nickel Plate Rd. Both of us were absolutely fascinated by the size of that machine . We had gotten a few photos and had fun looking around at it although I can’t really climb anything anymore. Unfortunately, we didn’t have anybody else over there with us to get some photos of us together. Anyway, thanks to Mr. Muffins Trains. I was able to get the 757 Nickel Plate Rd. model . I’m going to try and find a couple of little people that match up to the locomotive. One normal, good looking guy at one fat old man. That is a day. I will never forget. I’m certain that everybody reading this understands that my son is the most important thing To me.

Thanks for the info, Joe. Steve does some of the best custom runs and it’s no surprise he has all the little details covered. Good stuff.
Has anybody seen the Fast Freight set with the Legacy NKP #779? Lionel Store no longer has a delivery date, so I believe that means they’ve shipped, right?
they are probaby there or delayed. might take a week or 2 to get to dealers, charles ro is saying 12/16 availability
The color of the smoke box could vary from year to year, depending on who mixed up the graphite coating in the roundhouse. The more graphite in the mix, the darker the color.
There was no “standard” color for the smoke box. It could be anything from black to light gray. So whatever you get is “correct.”
