3659 ore dump car issue | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I picked up a 3659 dump car and find that the couplers sit higher than the rest of my rolling stock and can't hook it up with other cars. The only thing I can think of would be to bend them down but was wondering if anyone had any other ideas. The car looks original and I don't believe it has been altered in any way. Any ideas and help will be appreciated. Thanks

I've tweaked the couplers on some of my Prewar stuff. don't usually need to bend them much. they're pretty stout so the next owner can change them back.

or pick up a beater and modify it.

If you can find yourself another set of trucks and swap them out. I think that would work the best.
