Unless there is weight added (typically a big piece of lead in the boiler), a brass model

of a given steamer will always weigh considerably -less- than the die-cast version of it.

Brass is thin and boilers are hollow. The brass Williams (Samhongsa) Niagara contains

a really big cylindrical lead weight above the drivers. (I've been all through mine, so that's

a fact.)

 

My Weaver brass NKP Hudson is way too light and slippery, and will get some lead. One day.
