from the box: directional lighting, command upgradeable, conventional rail sounds,
automatic crew talk, enhanced towerco??, (box is scratched)
dc cam motor/firebox glow and puffing smoke
Please help - what do i have? - what is its worth? - i paid less than 90.00
how many cars can it pull? - what is minimum / radius?

Th book says $290 in mint condition so you did OK.
thanks mr "j" - i am sure it is not mint - but no scratches and such - no wear on wheels
another question - can engines like this be "detailed" - like the HO guys do?

For $90, if it runs and is in good shape, you got a nice deal.
The book may say $290, but I don't think you got THAT good of a deal. The Greenberg books seem, to me anyhow, to be a relic of pre-Internet retail. These days, a used conventional steam engine with railsounds would be lucky to fetch $150-$200. So, you definitely got a good deal, but not 2/3 less than the real value, more like 40-50% less.
