Need a foam cradle for your trains? If you or anyone you know has ever had arm or hand surgery and needed to keep it elevated to reduce swelling and promote healing, you're usually given medical foam arm elevated support unit. When you or them are done needing it see if you can have it. Take it, cut it in half the long direction down the middle of the open tube that runs the entire length of it and separate them. You now have two foam cradles for your trains, they work great and the price is right! Free!😁

Yes, that's what they send you home with, they don't want them back. If I can reuse and repurpose something I try to do it instead of having it end up in the landfill. I think if you got one from someone else spray it good with sanitizer, let it dry out good for a few days, then cut and use it. Works great for my use.
