I just want to say that the caliber of people you meet here on the forum is top notch.
I recently received e mails from 2 of our members here on the forum one member thought I was mad at him for a discussion we had In a thread.
I told him I wasn't mad and thru subsequent e mails found we had a lot in common and I feel I've made another friend.
The other member had seen one of my posts regarding a engine and matching cars I had wanted and kindly offered a set he no longer wanted to keep to me. This was a great boost to my moral after a last minute legal problem arose thats going to prevent me from attending York( for the first time) where I'd hoped to find the items.
He like me, has experienced a catastrophic loss in his life and we discussed how he was coping with it and how I had coped.
I feel I've made another friend and wish I could attend York to meet them face to face.... maybe this fall.
You join a forum like this with the intention of discussing and learning about all things train related. You just can't put into words though the fringe benefits that will come your way because of it.
I've seen so many acts of kindness in the short time I've been a member here. From a train manufacturer sending an engine to a child at Christmas time because his was broken to forumites that take the time to transport a layout to a retirement home to give the folks there a little excitement in their lives. It reaffirms my belief that Americans are truly good people.
Happy Easter
