Adding New PS3 Subway

Are you adding the engine in all by itself? Needs to be the only engine on the track when adding in an engine. Also do you have the new update for the TIU? I had to update my TIU base as I  will be running a PS-3 engine.

Yes, the engine is all alone on the track. However, I did not update the TIU. While new to me it was bought a few years ago. I'll check Barry's book for info on updating. Thanks for the heads up.

Nor should you have to.

Connect the TIU's Remote Input  port to the remote using a telephone handset cable (the curly one that goes between the telephone base and telephone handset) and try adding the subway again. If it still doesn't add, we can work the problem another way.

Did MTH add LED interior lighting to the PS3 subway sets or are the interior lights the same as before?

Thanks Barry. Tried the phone cable and all I got was a "TIU Error" message. Again, the lights are on the subway engine so I assume the power is getting to the track. I look forward to your additional advice.

Not sure this tells you anything, but the wheels on each truck cannot be budged by hand. Perhaps that is how it should be?

Cycling tiu power  will probably get rid  Of the TIU error message.

 I think I would try adding the Subway first , Maybe delete the other 2 and try with the subway first.

  Is a remote reset going to be a pain in the butt? everything will be deleted.. This will give you a clean slate and eliminate any ID conflicts (if any)
