It's been quite a while since Roger posted. He said at the time he was going through his chemo treatments. Hope all is well.

I think his youtube page is still up, but I have not noticed any posts from him lately either. He used to initiate much appreciated Prewar photo threads.
I hope all is well as well!
Yup, missing his posts. This would be the time of year he'd be putting together his annual compilations.
Thanks pd. I posted a "missing" thread back in december as well. 51 is way too young, he will be missed.
We send our prayers and heartfelt sympathy to the Davis family. Death is the culmination of life and RJ left quite a legacy in his short time here. All those who knew and loved him will go on with this memory.
I am deeply saddened by this news. I never had the chance to meet RJ face to face, but I felt as if I knew him because of his postings about his layout and the few communications that we shared. He is one of the few Wisconsinites that I have seen post on this forum, and it almost felt as if he was a neighbor. I wish I had made the weekend drive to meet him and see his collection.
I have missed his monthly threads asking for postings of tinplate equipment around a theme. I particularly miss his year-end compilation of tinplate trains posted by folks throughout the year. I felt honored to have several photos of the Blueboard Central and items from my collection appear in those compilations.
He presented a warm and welcoming presence to all he communicated with, and he was willing to share his experiences in collecting and building his layout. He was a very early contributor to the thread that I host on another site and gave wonderful encouragement.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family as they move into the future without him. I will be running some noisy tinplate and blowing whistles in the next few days on the Blueboard Central in his honor.

Gentlemen,
Very sorry to hear this, I will miss his great posts, no doubt he runs his Tin Plate with the Big Engineer in the sky, our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Thank you for the update pd. RJ was truly passionate about the monthly tinplate photo feature here on the Forum. I miss that monthly thread.
Thanks RJ. May you rest in peace.
So sad to hear. RJ was always helpful, encouraging and a true gentleman. A friend that will be missed by many here.
A life well lived if there ever was one:

Godspeed RJ...thanks for the ride.

I am truly saddened by the news of RJ's passing. He is an example of the best in our hobby.
Very sad to read the news. RJ was a gentleman and an asset to the hobby.
