Added some lights to the Coming Attractions posters. While the marquee lights are great it has only 1 light for the interior. Not a good picture but you can get an idea of the change.

Wow - what great news that is. I've got a place already carved out for Walton & Sons Lumber.

Not really. Walthers was always high priced too.
This is great news, you can’t look at an issue of OGR or Classic Toy Trains without seeing a dozen pictures with Walthers kit in them. Walthers just lost interest in producing O scale. Atlas usually makes improvements to product they acquire, maybe they will introduce a few variations or new items as well. This is a good deal for Walthers, they get to stock the new Atlas items when they arrive without the cost of production or carrying a large inventory and modeless don’t lose access to some excellent kits.
PS: Most of the kits were made in Denmark and a few in China, I do not expect to see them on dealer shelves soon.

It's a shame that Walthers didn't expand this line more -- I would have loved to see some of their other HO kits offered in O such as:

I TOTALLY Agree with this! What a Bummer!
I agree,that would be nice.
This is exciting news, I'm pretty stoked about this! I had a couple of these kits on my first layout when I was a kid.
If I remember correctly, didn't the walls have a good snap-fit assembly?

Steve,
Are you sure this last building is an Walthers HO building? Because it bears a stunning resemblance to the MTH 30-9017 gray two-tone bank. Difference is that in the MTH model the other side wall has the windows. But the front, the doors and windows are dead ringers. Must be a coincidence.

Looks like RMT and Williams by Bachman will be splitting the old K-Line/Marx building tools.

This is a great development. I certainly agree with VidKidz above. The concerns expressed about cost, the inclusion of interiors and lighting, and easy bashing all suggest a need for these to be offered as kits rather than solely as builtups. Pat B.
Actually, this is amazing.
Here's the Walthers HO Bank.
And here is the MTH 30-9017 two-tone gray bank.
Mine differs from this one (photo taken from the MTH website) in that the windows are on the other side of the building.
But what a resemblance!!

Pretty interesting with the banks.. I guess MTH copies whatever they can. Wasn't it a WS kit that was discussed last time?
