Please pardon the embarrassing newbie question. I've been eyeing an 2014 3-rail Atlas RS-1 for over a year now. The catalog I have says that the engine has Lionel TrainMaster Command but doesn't say whether it will run in conventional mode. I assume that it will and that I'll have limited access to some functions via the bell and whistle buttons. I'm also hoping the User Manual will tell me what sequences to press. Before I plunk down some serious change, is this assumption correct? My transformer is an MTH Z500, so for a five pound engine, I'm not expecting blinding speed but just some basic functionality for some switching fun.
