I have 4 CAB1s from my TMCC system. I have more or less successfully serviced them but I now have 2 that I can't fix. I also have a Legacy set with a single CAB2.. MY questions are, How does the construction and durability of the CAB 2 compare with the Cab 1, and how does the CAB1L fit into the equation? I understand that the CAB1L will function as a replacement for the CAB1 when used with a Legacy base. Since the CAB 1 is no longer made, and I am not aware of any shop which services them, I am assuming my choices are the CAB1L or Legacy CAB2s to replace my failing Cab1s. Are the CAB2s better built and more durable and reliable then the Cab1s were? Am I assuming correctly that the CAB1L is very similar in construction to the CAB1 and consequently probably likely to suffer the same keyboard and throttle failures that plague the CAB1? So, I guess the decision is whether to buy CAB1ls and assume they are relatively short life disposables, or invest in the much more expensive CAB2s and expect a substantially longer life. Is there a serviceability associated with the CAB2?
