Fred, if this is a business, you need a new business model.
From a technical point of view the 50 ohm output is important. The receiver/transmitter does not know the gain of the antenna.
As a ham radio operator I am aware of FCC regulations and part 15. While it may technically be a violation of part 15 you will never hear from anyone unless you are causing a licensed FCC station interference.
At 2.4 gig from inside a building this is unlikely. Either way the worst that can happen is that you be required to stop transmitting until you have replaced the antenna with the proper antenna and the interference stops. Don
