Been working on this project for about 2 weeks on and off.   Purchased a new to me MTH PS2 ATSF 5012 Texas Type.

Removed the entire PS2 system, installed a new Blunami Steam 4408 system.  Added 2 Visatron 2 inch diameter speakers in series, sealed them in the tender.

While I am not 100% complete, I did take some time and added some details that I'll try and post some photos of tomorrow.

Painted the interior of the cab an industrial green color, changed out the incandescent lights with warm light LEDs including headlight, cab light, firebox.  Fabricated a new drawbar closing the gap between tender and cab by another 3/8" from the shortest hole on the factory MTH drawbar.   Made up some "tea bag" cab curtains, which right now are getting moved around on one side by the 90 degree tether plug cord.

Waiting on a MTH factory straight 10 pin tether plug so I can add a cab apron plate, (also on order), and hopefully close the gap another 1/4".  Shopping for some new tender steps, and filled in the large open area above the rear 4 wheel trailing truck as it was an eye sore to me.

All in all, as others here on the forum have noted, I am pretty pleased with the Blunami control system.  It took me a while to tune the speaker enclosure volume size, I may play with that a little more.

Here's a 4 minute video I shot an hour ago.  It's decent quality,  I had a lot going on with 2 other trains on the main line, operating and moving the video cam....

I had a large, probably overkill, 10 amp full wave bridge rectifier, and also found a 50 v  1000 muF Capacitor in by parts bin...

I also through trial and error figured out that the MTH green marker leds in this engine were wired in series, so I added 2 x 220 ohm resistors (1/4 watt each) in series, 440 ohms 1/2 watt total.    Also the incandescent number board lamps were 6 volt, 60 mA,  so I rewired them in series to the 12 volt supply for one of the outputs.

When I have the tender open again, I'll shoot some photos
