I just completed my first two Atlas bridges that span a walkway in my trainroom- raising and anchoring them when trains are not running. I have hit my head and back too many times walking around the layout! LOL. As an added touch, I've installed "warning" LEDs when the bridges are down to help "grab" peoples' attention when walking through (see video).

Cool nice job. I have been considering doing that. One question though, is there something that locks them in the open position or do they just balance?
Old habits die hard, thought video might show that, rather than you ducking under bridge. LOL
Thanks!
Greg, thanks for sharing those pictures and video. Looks great. Any other pictures / video of your layout? Is that a helix in the making?

LOL....no helix there....those are display shelves.
Wow, that really looks like a great layout! Very nice job! Is that a PRR Keystone around the window? and is that curved display shelving around the layout?

Yes and yes.
Very ingenious ideas!
Very neat. How large is the rail gap on the hinged side of the bridge as well as the far side? And how did you build the hinge?
