I'm sure there are people out there who have plenty of extras of those plastic overlays lying around (they came with every TMCC engine) and could send you one for the cost of postage.

Why south Carolina? I thought Lionel was in North Carolina

So, I connected my CAB-1 and fired up this engine:  http://www.lionel.com/products...diesel-9129-6-18271/   This is all new to me, but so far very impressive compared to the Lionel set I had when I was a kid!  I read there are templates that go over the CAB-1 controller that are essentially a 'cheat-sheet' to show what numbers 0 through 9 do.  Does someone have a template that can be printed from home to place over CAB-1?   I could make one up myself, but thought I'd save myself some time.

I was searching for a tmcc steam template and came across this thread, does anyone know where there are still available?

I just got some from Lionel's website.

Here are the overlays:

1-11/16 wide    1-13/16 tall

Once you've run for a spell, the overlays become somewhat pointless, you just know what the buttons do.  I know somewhere I have a bunch of the overlays, there's one for electric locomotives as well as I remember.  I haven't used them in years, but they're somewhere...

As Gunrunner John said, it’s going to become natural once you’ve ran your trains for awhile. These little overlays work on cab 1, cab 1L remotes.
