I dropped my CAB-2 onto the carpet floor. The touch screen was blank when I picked it up. However, the touch sensitive keys still functioned. The first thing I tried was to remove and replace the batteries. I have fifteen years of TMCC experience, have the keys memorized, so I can still use the CAB-2 for the basic functions. It would be nice, however, to have the screen icons back. I have been very reluctant to take the CAB-2 apart for fear the insides would fall apart like an old Swiss watch. Has anyone experienced this problem? If I unscrew the eight screws on the back cover and lift it off, could I safely check to see if there is a loose component on a motherboard? Thanks,
