Hi all, I have a small test track that I want to get working. If I connect a powerhouse to a power master 180 (37146) and then connect eh CAB 1L base to the ground side I know I can assign a track number to the power master and run command locos. My question is how can I use this setup to run a loc in conventional mode? Is it as simple as sliding the switch on the PM to conventional and then pressing the track button on the remote that coincides to the programmed track number? Would the big nob on the Cab 1L remote then act to regulate track power?

Thanks

ChooChoo1972 has a Cab1L base so the Legacy Powermaster will receive TMCC commands via the RF signal.   This is also true for the original Cab1 base.

... from the manual:

"Connect the “U” terminal of a LEGACY Command Base (#992 from set 6-14295) or a LEGACY
BASE-1L (6-37156) to the “U” terminal of the PowerMaster or to the outside rail of the track."

For conventional operation, slide the CMD/CONV switch to conventional.   Use the red knob, boost, brake, dir, etc. buttons.  The manual documents all the quick button presses to activate PS-1 features.
