hey, jay jay,

that is a big fire department you have there!

Yes, I got carried away. Its supposed to be a display of fire equipment. I have a lot of regard for "first reponders", and I like diecast vehicles, so that's the result. I also enjoy Plasticville, and have duplicates of several, but the Fire Department is the only one of which I have three. Smile

James,

I think you've found it! I looked at the E Bay listing, and the height is the same, and it has the same details. The only difference is the color of the base. Good find-thank you! Smile

Sitting in front of your fire stations there is a 1950's ford fire chief car. I believe I had one of those when I was a boy. I believe it came with some firemen and a couple of helmets. I purchased it from a 5 and 10 store here in Homer City.

Jim,

That's a 1949 Ford Coupe, by Ertl. It is marked "Chief" and "Plasticville Fire Department". I bought it sometime in the past decade. I am a big fan of 1949 Fords. Smile

You're welcome. That's a nice piece, they don't show up too often. Now all you need are a few manoil figures for a WWI memorial. I had to settle for the Lionel post war version (made by MPC of course!):
